ROSELLE PARK, NJ - Prom season is right around the corner and Roselle Park Police Chief Paul Morrison is taking a proactive approach in raising awareness to the current drug trends that are affecting Union County and offering the following presentation for the community.
The Community Policing Unit will be hosting a presentation on current drug trends, opiates, alcohol and vaping, given by the local non-profit Prevention Links.
The presentation will be held on Tuesday, May 8, at 7 p.m. at Roselle Park Borough Hall courtroom located at, 110 East Westfield Ave.
Representatives from the police department will also be available to answer questions.
“If we can raise awareness about the possible signs of drug use to parents, we may be able to prevent a tragedy,” said Chief Morrison. “Our police departments and the community must work together in order to prevent tragedies from drug and alcohol abuse.”
The meeting is free and open to the public and will be will be approximately 45 minutes.
