ROSELLE PARK, NJ - The Roselle Park Borough Council met Thursday and approved 16 resolutions, including approval of two contracts to Cifelli & Son General Contracting, Inc., totaling more than $500,000, for improvements to Williams Street and West Sumner Avenue.

“Resolutions 211 and 212, both good results in terms of public bids. The Williams Street project bids came in about $20,000 lower than what we expected on the engineering estimate and budget estimate,” said Borough Clerk Andrew Casais.  “For the improvements to West Sumner Avenue that bid actually came in $50,000 less than what our engineers estimate was so all in all very good results there on the public procurement side.”

The council also approved reactivating the crossing guards October 1, which have been furloughed since schools closed in March. October 1 is when the district is planning on letting students return for hybrid in-person learning.
