ROSELLE PARK, NJ - Children drew a masterpiece, adults painted on canvas, and Roselle Park drew a large crowd during at the first annual RP Loves ART street festival and antique car show. 

The event held Saturday on Chestnut Street in Roselle Park also brought organizations such as the Westfield Art Association, Montclair Art Museum truck that displayed a collage elephant and drawing activities for the kids, along with many other groups from across Union County. 

There were also many different displays of local professional, amateur, and student artists and a children’s art show “Dream & Be.”

Live music from the talented Baron-Montemurro Duo, professional jazz singer Thos Shipley, NJYT performed numbers from “Oklahoma” and “Cabaret” and many others took to the stage to entertain the crowd.

Local dance groups from Planet Dance, Fusion Dance Centre, and Dancers Pointe’ also showed their talent by performing in the street. “This is Phenomenal” was all that Roselle Park Mayor Carl Hokanson could say after watching one of the dance groups perform. 

The “Cruisin’ Night” Car Show hosted by Mayor Hokanson and the Roselle Park Borough Council displayed many unique and beautiful antique cars. Music was by DJ Hot Rod Mike.
