ROSELLE PARK, NJ - The RP Loves Arts! committee announced a new feature to the September 24, line-up of events that host artists from all over N.J.

Pam Reinoso, Chairwoman of the RP Loves ARTS! volunteer arts group, is excited about the new feature. “Roselle Park Loves Shorts! Film Festival is looking for future Academy Award winning film directors by giving aspiring film makers their break. We will showcase their work before a live audience, which will provide feedback and the opportunity to have audience reaction.”

The short film festival Co-Directors include Roselle Park residents Paul Zdanowicz, Thos Shipley, Bobby Rivers and Joe DeIorio and include New York City based judges and recent Garden State Film Festival award winner Maggie Kaszuba for her short film "INSPIRED."

“Roselle Park Loves Shorts! welcomes the breakout artist as well as the seasoned professional to screen their best, edgy, thought provoking, colorful and inspiring work of art” noted TV Host and Film Historian, Bobby Rivers. “Special emphasis is placed on newcomers in the field of film and the teenage filmmaker looking for an arena in which to showcase their art.”

“Roselle Park Loves Shorts! was created from a desire of artists and volunteers of various professions looking to host a diversity of newcomers and professionals in the field of film making to network and build their portfolio,” noted Co-Director and artist, Thos Shipley.

The Roselle Park Loves Shorts! Film Festival prefers short films 20 minutes or less, but will consider films up to 40 minutes in length, inclusive of title and credits. Special recognition will be given for submissions which use iPhone, iPad, or Android as their central means of film making. As a special feature of the Film Fest, they are encouraging teenagers to submit their original work.

An added bonus, this year the committee announced that they will waive the submission fee for this year's Short Film Festival as a way of celebrating the Inaugural Short Film Festival.
