ROSELLE PARK, NJ - Ronald F. Perry Jr., age 43, a resident from Roselle Park was arrested by Police and charged with receiving stolen property after officers responded to a complaint of a stolen bicycle.

Police say they responded to a residence on E. Clay Ave on Jan. 23, where a resident stated that his bicycle was chained to his front porch railing and upon exiting his residence noticed it was stolen and located his lock that had been removed, now laying in the middle of the street. The bicycle was described as a chrome, (men’s) mountain bike with a black and yellow seat and sprocket guard missing.

Police said, earlier that day officers had made contact with Perry. It was noted by officers that Perry was in possession of four bicycles, one of them being similar to the one reported stolen. The four bicycles were viewed by the complainant and he positively identified the one bicycle to be the same one stolen off his porch that morning.

On January 24, Detective Edward Nortrup and Ptl Gregory Polakoski said they located Perry, and he was placed under arrest and later charged with receiving stolen property. The bicycle however was not recovered at that time and its whereabouts are unknown. Perry was served with a summons and released with a future court date.
