ROSELLE PARK, NJ - Mayor Signorello went live on Facebook on Thursday to update residents on the status of Tropical Storm Isaias and its aftermath.

“We will obviously keep pressing PSE&G to make sure that the fixes are as quick as possible,” said the mayor.

The most recent PSEG data puts the number of customers without power at 55 which is down from over 500 on Thursday morning. The earliest estimate for the restoration of power is 11 p.m. Thursday. The latest estimate is 3:45 p.m. Monday; however, this goal post has moved multiple times.

“In Roselle there’s a comfort center available with water and ice from PSE&G,” added Mayor Signorello. The comfort station is at Warinanco Park Ice Skating Rink, it will be open on Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The comfort stations are operating on a contact-less drive-thru-only system due to the pandemic. The PSEG website asks that visitors open their trunks on arrival for employees to place the water and ice in their cars.

To report any immediately dangerous situation the mayor asked that residents contact him at mayorsig@rosellepark.net.
