ROSELLE PARK, NJ - July 17, 2017 at 11:25 p.m., Ptl. Kyle Snyder conducted a pedestrian stop with a suspicious male identified as John Mallozzi, age 39 from Union in the area of Galloping Hill Rd and East Clay Ave. 

Mallozzi was arrested and charged with possession of suspected c.d.s. (Alprozolam) without a valid prescription. Mallozzi was ultimately released on a summons with a superior court first appearance date.  

July 19, 2017 at approximately 9:50 p.m., Patrolman Dean Khallaf observed a 2010 Audi traveling above the posted speed limit on W. Westfield Ave and conducted a traffic stop at W. Westfield Ave at Chestnut St.

The driver of the vehicle, Jonathan Dao, age 25 of Jersey City was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(A)4 - possession of suspected controlled dangerous substance marijuana and 2C:36-2 -possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Dao was ultimately released on a summons pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court Date.

July 20, 2017 at approximately 8:17 p.m., Sgt. Matthew Disano conducted a pedestrian stop with a male identified as Wiktor K. Debiec, age 27, from Linden who was observed hiding in the alcove of one of the exterior doors of Aldene School located at Faitoute Ave at W. Webster Ave. Upon contact Sgt. Disano further observed Debiec holding a hypodermic needle. Debiec was placed under arrest without incident and found to be in possession of 23 wax folds of suspected c.d.s. (heroin) and a hypodermic needle. 

Debiec was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ultimately released on a summons pending a Union County Superior Court Date.

July 21, 2017 at approximately 1:17 a.m., Patrolman Sam Sukool conducted a traffic stop with a 2005 Nissan on W. Westfield Ave @ Faitoute Ave for a moving and equipment violations.

The driver of the vehicle, Vincent J. Lazaro, age 20 from Cranford was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, namely suspected (marijuana). Lazaro was placed under arrest and charged with possession of c.d.s. marijuana. Motor vehicle summonses issued.

Lazaro was ultimately released on a summons with a future Roselle Park Municipal Court Date. 

July 22, 2017 at approximately 12:02 a.m., Patrolman John Fitzgerald conducted a traffic stop with a 2007 Hyundai on Locust St. for a moving violation.

The driver of the vehicle, Juliet Viteka, age 18 from Rahway was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, namely suspected (marijuana). Viteka was placed under arrest and charged with possession of c.d.s. marijuana. Motor vehicle summonses issued. 

Viteka was ultimately released on a summons with a future Roselle Park Municipal Court Date. 

July 25, 2017 at approximately 10:40 p.m., Patrolman Angelo Marino conducted a traffic stop with a bicyclist on Locust St. for equipment violations.

The bicyclist, Zamir D. Caldwell, age 21 from Rahway was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, namely suspected (marijuana). Caldwell was placed under arrest and charged with possession of c.d.s. marijuana. Borough summonses issued.

Caldwell was ultimately released on a summons with a future Roselle Park Municipal Court Date. 

July 25, 2017 at approximately 12:11 a.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a traffic stop with a 2000 Chrysler on Locust St. for moving and equipment violations.

The driver of the vehicle, William K. Gaines, age 44 from Roselle was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substances, namely suspected (cocaine) and (marijuana) along with drug paraphernalia. Gaines was placed under arrest and charged with possession with intent to distribute c.d.s. cocaine and marijuana, possession with intent to distribute c.d.s. within 1,000 feet of school, possession of c.d.s. and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, reckless driving, failure to observe a traffic signal, improper use of high beams, and maintenance of lamps. 

Gaines was ultimately released on a summons with a future Union County Superior Court Date. 

August 3, 2017 at approximately 10:50 p.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a traffic stop with a 1998 Lexus on Locust St. for an equipment violation.

The driver of the vehicle, Angel Valle, age 28 from Linden was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, namely suspected (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Valle was placed under arrest and charged with possession of c.d.s. marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Valle was also found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest from Roselle Park, Roselle and Rahway Municipal Courts in the amount of $1,400. Full bail was posted. Motor vehicle summonses were issued and he was released on a summons with a Roselle Park Municipal Court Date. 

August 4, 2017 at approximately 1:55 a.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a traffic stop with a 2005 Nissan on W. Westfield Ave for a moving violation.

The driver of the vehicle, Erick Castillo, age 43 from Roselle Park was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Search incident to the arrest Castillo was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, namely suspected (cocaine). He was charged with possession of c.d.s. cocaine. Motor vehicle summonses were issued for driving while intoxicated, d.w.i. in a school zone, reckless driving, possession of c.d.s. in a motor vehicle, driving while suspended and failure to observe a traffic signal. 

Castillo was ultimately released on a summons with a future Roselle Park Municipal Court Date. 

August 5, 2017 at approximately 4:34 a.m., Detective Sergeant Dominick Frino located a male identified as Jason Olaya Romero, age 26, from Union sleeping on the front lawn of the United Methodist Church located on the 300 block of Chestnut St. 

Romero appeared highly intoxicated and was subsequently found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, namely suspected (marijuana). He was arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. marijuana. He was ultimately transported to the hospital for evaluation.
