ROSELLE PARK, NJ - At the Thursday, June 6, meeting, two new officers were sworn in to join the Roselle Park Police Dept. Vincent Picarelli and Anthony Mastrocola took the positions of Probationary Patrolman.
The Business of the Month was given to Susie Karlik Dance Sensation of Union, located at 1049 Stuyvesant Ave. Union. Karlik is a life long resident of Roselle Park Resident.
Mayor Signorello lll read and presented a Proclamation to Kathleen Dolan for Gun Violence Day 2019. Council Members also wore orange ribbons for awareness.

In other business, Mayor and Council were presented with the 2nd reading of Ordinance 2575, the application for a long-term tax exemption and authorizing the execution of a financial agreement with Meridia at Park Square Urban Renewal, "The Sullivan Property”.
Resident Dave Robertson raised many questions and noted that some of the numbers that were put out in a report via Facebook by Councilman at Large Joesph DeIorio may not be current information, stating that DeIorio’s numbers were much higher. DeIorio responded by stating that he stands by his report.
The Representatives from Merida were also on hand answering a lot of questions that ranged from the number of units, design and to the Pilot questions. A few of the council members were not in agreement with the pilot and the council agreed to table the ordinance until the next meeting for members to be able to get more information.
The next regular meeting of Mayor and Council will be held on June 20.
