Roselle Park’s SummerFest Presents Dance Recital

ROSELLE PARK, NJ - Planet Dance to perform at the Casano Community Center on August 20, 2014

On Wednesday August 20 from 6:30 – 7:00 PM Planet Dance will present a dance recital at the Casano Community Center 314 Chestnut, St Roselle Park, New Jersey 908-245-0666.

Planet Dance is a family owned business. The directors are sisters; Miss Erica & Miss Gina. They are certified in Dance as well Zumba. Planet Dance was established in August of 2002 and since has been a family oriented business for over 13 years. Planet Dance offers a variety of dance styles from tap, hip hop, ballet, pointe, tech, contemporary, lyrical, flamenco, jazz and acro. They also offer ZUMBA. They are competition titleholders from various competitions in the state of New Jersey. Throughout the year Planet Dance performs at various venues to show their skills and entertain. An annual dance recital is also held. Classes are offered for ages 2 ½-up.

Miss Erica Campione-Oliveira has been dancing since the age of 3. She has experienced 15 years of dance at Miss Donna’s Academy of Dance in Elizabeth, NJ, where she studied Tap and Jazz. She also studied Tap, Hip-Hop and Jazz at Dance Elevations in Linden, NJ for 5 years.  She became part of the teaching staff in 1997-2001. She majored in “Display and Exhibit” and “Graphics” from FIT-Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, where she also graduated and received her Associates degree in the year of 2002. She then opened up Planet Dance in August of 2002 as the current director of Planet Dance. She currently is the graphic designer of Planet Dance and also has her own dance line called “Back Stage Dancewear”. She got certified in dance 8/2010 and received her ZUMBA certification 4/2012.

Miss Gina Campione-Robel has been dancing since the age of 3.  She has experienced 15 years of dance at Miss Donna’s Academy of Dance in Elizabeth, NJ, where she studied Ballet, Tap and Jazz. She also studied Flamenco for 5 years.  She then became part of the teaching staff in 1995-2002. She also studied Tap, Hip-Hop and Lyrical at Dance Elevations in Linden, NJ for 5 years.  She also became part of the teaching staff in 1997-2001. She became a choreographer for the Linden High School Marching Band Color guard in 1998-2000. She then opened up Planet Dance in August of 2002 as the current director of Planet Dance. She got certified in dance 7/2010.

Female Boxer Dog Found in the Chandler Ave. Area of Roselle

ROSELLE, NJ - A female boxer was found on East 7th Ave. near Chandler Ave. and given to police on Feb. 16. The dog was later transported to the Newark Humane Society, where it will be on hold for the owner to claim her.

Officials from the Humane Society say that the dog is of senior age and very sweet. If the owner does not claim her, she will be available for adoption on Feb.
