ROSELLE, NJ - On Saturday, Nov. 5, the Roselle Rams hosted the Bound Brook Crusaders in their homecoming football game. At halftime, the score was Roselle 20, Bound Brook 0. Roselle scored again early in the 3rd quarter, making the score 27-0. On the next possession, the Rams intercepted from the Crusaders and ran it back for a touchdown, making the game 34-0. 

The Crusaders scored in the middle of the 3rd quarter and went for the 2 point conversion, but were unsuccessful, making the game 34-6. With 1:39 left in the 3rd quarter, the Rams answered back with another touchdown. Early in the 4th quarter, Bound Brook scored their second touchdown and went for another 2 point conversion, but were unsuccessful again. Roselle ran the next kick back for another touchdown and the final scoring drive of the game, ending the game in a score of 48-12. This makes Roselle undefeated with a record of 8-0. 

During the halftime show, the Roselle Rams marching band and color guard performed on the field for the fans in the stands. There was also a special “prom-posal” done during halftime on the field by one of the Roselle cheerleaders. Roselle also named its homecoming king, Castro Jean, and homecoming queen, Yumel Gonzalez. 

Next Saturday, Nov. 12, Roselle will host the first round of the NJSIAA state playoffs. Kick off will be at noon.

Applications for Roselle Firefighter Exam to Start in July

ROSELLE, NJ - The Roselle Fire Dept. has posted an announcement for those wishing to apply for the entry-level firefighter exam. 

According to the release, the New Jersey Civil Service Commission will announce an entry-level firefighter’s exam on July 1. Individuals wishing to take this exam should visit the NJCSC web site @ www.state.nj.us/csc.
