ROSELLE, NJ - Two community events are scheduled to be held In Roselle to honor and celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and the National Day of Service.
The first event will take place on Mon., Jan. 16, when the community will come together for a Flag Raising and Senior Cinema at Borough Hall, 210 Chestnut St.
Beginning with a continental breakfast will be served from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., followed by a Flag Raising Ceremony at 10 a.m. and Senior Cinema will follow after the ceremony. For Cinema Information contact Genia Simms at 908-324-2338.
The community is invited to the second event on Tues., Jan. 17, for a Musical Tribute to Love and Unity in Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King at Abraham Clark High School Auditorium, 122 E. 6th Ave., from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Special performances include Roselle’s own Leading Tones and the Inter-school Choir of Washington Elementary, Dr. Charles C. Polk Elementary and Harrison Elementary Schools.
