ELIZABETH, NJ - As the snow begins to accumulate this evening, DPW Crews will continue to plow the streets. Police urge everyone to park off the roadway whenever possible and never on a posted snow route when the roadway is covered with snow. According to AccuWeather, the heaviest snow will begin after 8 p.m.

NJ Transit has announced that they suspend all bus service Wednesday as of 3 p.m. with all buses pulled off the roadways by 5 p.m.

According to officials at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, they have activated their Emergency Operations Center at midnight Tuesday night to monitor the impact of the storm on all areas, and prioritize activities if necessary.  A representative said, “as a result of the growing storm, outpatient visits in areas such as dialysis, cancer treatment, and rehabilitation were rescheduled.  Preparations are being made for up to 100 additional staff members to remain at the hospital overnight.”
