ROSELLE PARK, NEW JERSEY – April 22, 2014 – Looking for some family oriented fun this summer? Come to Roselle Park, the best kept secret in Union County New Jersey when it comes to summer event offerings. SummerFest is currently planning an even bigger lineup then last year. There is something for everyone all through May, June, July, August and September.
Though the Roselle Park downtown encompasses only a few blocks there are many great events, catering to all tastes, which take place throughout the rest of the town. Let SummerFest make Roselle Park your destination this year’s summer fun!
Here is a short sampling of planned events: To kick off summer, May brings the Memorial Day Ceremony on the library lawn and following in the afternoon, the annual Casano Community Center picnic. In June we have our well known St. Anthony’s Italian Family Feast (Thurs 5 – Sun 8), in its 14th year which is a spectacular carnival of "Four days of Faith, Fun, Family and Friends" and great food too! Saturday 20, the “Crusin’ Car Show” returns and also on that day is the Bumble Bee outdoor Bazaar and craft fair on the ground of the Church of the Assumption. July has fireworks at the 4th of July celebration and later in the month there will be “a meet the artist” reception at the Casano Community Center Art Gallery. National Night Out and the Casano Community Center Picnic will be held the first week in August. Also returning will be The Arts Night at the library (poetry & music). A second “Crusin’ Car Show” will be held on Sept 13. New for this year but not yet scheduled will be an end of summer professional’s networking event, and an “Explore Downtown Roselle Park Day”….and a lot more!

Roselle Park is easy to reach by car or public transportation. New Jersey Transit buses 58, 94, and 113 stop in the heart of the downtown, the Raritan Valley train station is six blocks to the north on Chestnut St., and the Garden State Parkway’s exit 137 is a short drive west of town on Westfield Ave. Also, Route 28 passes right through Roselle Park’s downtown Westfield Ave.
