ROSELLE, NJ - School Superintendent Dr. Kevin West made the announcement that he is leaving the Roselle school system and moving on to the East Orange School District during a ceremony in his honor on Thursday morning. The Marine Corps JROTC conducted a Battalion Formation for Dr. Kevin West at the Abraham Clark High School in the schools gymnasium. 

“This formation is an awards ceremony in honor of Dr. West for his long and distinguished service here at the Roselle school district and for the support he has given to the Marine JROTC program,” said 1st. Sgt. David Alito. 

In his speech Dr. West noted, that while in his new position where he will oversee 22 schools and will be afforded more opportunity to help more students, “my heart will always be in Roselle.” 

West was presented with a plaque from Principal Rashon Mickens and the Abraham Clark H.S. Staff and students. The Marine JROTC presented West with a picture signed by cadets and staff.
