ROSELLE, NJ - Harrison Elementary School had an early visit from the Cat in the Hat Tuesday, Feb. 6, as part of a sneak preview of Read Across America, an annual reading motivation and awareness program sponsored by the National Education Association that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading.

Arlene Ringwood, a first-grade teacher at Harrison, led the school-wide storytelling event, which was followed by each class having a meet-and-greet with the Cat himself!

The effort culminates on March 2 with the birthday of renowned children's author Dr. Seuss.
