Two Hillside Men Arrested for Robbery in Roselle Park

ROSELLE PARK, NJ - Roselle Park Police arrested two men from Hillside after they robbed a man from Roselle Park in front of his residence at gunpoint. 

According to police, on September 28, at approximately 1:02 p.m., Roselle Park Police officers responded to the 300 block of W. Webster Ave. on a report of a robbery. On scene officers located a 20 year old man from Roselle Park who was bleeding from the head, who said that he had been a victim of a robbery where two individuals had visited him in front of his residence and struck him in the head several times with a silver revolver, wrestled him to the ground and removed personal items from him before fleeing the area in a silver or grey midsized vehicle. 

The first individual was described as a tall skinny black male with dreadlocks, wearing a dark shirt. The second individual was described as a stocky black male with short hair. The resident was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.

Police say, the detectives on the scene who investigated the incident were able to locate a witness and video surveillance in the area. Images of the suspects were also shared with other local police agencies. The Hillside Police Dept. contacted Roselle Park Police and assisted in the identification of both individuals. The information quickly led to the positive identification and arrest of both individuals involved in the robbery.

On October 6, Keith K. Watson, age 22 from Hillside and Aaronmich P. Archibald-Johnson, age 21 from Hillside were discovered to be already lodged in the Union County Jail on an unrelated traffic stop and arrest that occurred in Hillside a few days after the robbery.   

Watson was charged with (1st degree) robbery, (2nd degree) possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and (2nd degree) unlawful possession of a weapon. 

Archibald-Johnson was charged with (1st degree) robbery. Both remain lodged in the Union County Jail awaiting a Union County Superior Court first appearance on all charges.

Female Boxer Dog Found in the Chandler Ave. Area of Roselle

ROSELLE, NJ - A female boxer was found on East 7th Ave. near Chandler Ave. and given to police on Feb. 16. The dog was later transported to the Newark Humane Society, where it will be on hold for the owner to claim her.
