UNION, NJ – Jeff Adams, 20, of Union has been arrested and charged with fatally stabbing his father, according to Union County Prosecutor Grace H. Park.
Adams is charged with murder and related weapons offenses in connection with the death of 59-year-old Michael Adams.
As reported by Tapinto Union on Monday, Union and Irvington firefighters responded to a report of a fire at a home on Van Ness Terrace. Union firefighters found the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Jeff Adams turned himself in to Union Police Department authorities early Monday afternoon, and he was lodged in Union County Jail. He is expected to have a first appearance in court later this week.
