Update: 11/14. This update reflects the addition in Roselle of Cindy Thomas to the 4th ward.
ROSELLE/ROSELLE PARK, NJ - All of the votes have been counted and the final update of 2019 General Election results are now official.
In Roselle, there was only one candidate for each seat. Winners stand as reported Christine Dansereau will remain as Mayor and Councilwoman Denise Wilkerson will be the new Council-at-Large and Cindy Thomas to the 4th ward as Councilwoman.
In the School board race, it was was also a walk-in election for the candidates with Angela Alvey-Wimbush, Rupert Pond, and Courtney Washington for 3-year terms, and Richard Villeda and Jonathan S. Spearman will be filling the 1-year Unexpired Term positions.
In Roselle Park, it was a much closer race and here are the final results.
Republican candidate William Fahoury will retain his seat in the 3rd Ward with 339 votes over Democratic candidate Paul Baiamonte who had 229 votes.
In the 4th Ward it was a close race, with Democratic candidate Michael Connelly retaining his seat with 194 votes, and the 4th Ward challenger Republican candidate Edmund Fahoury, Jr. who needed up with 174 votes.
In the School board race, it was Loren Harms, Joseph Signorello, Jr. and Marc Fernandez for a 3-year term, and Khamele McLeod-Cato ran unopposed for the 2- year unexpired term.
