CLARK/ROSELLE, NJ - On Saturday, September 7, the annual Run for Roselle 5K Run/Walk will be held in Oak Ridge Park, in Clark beginning at 9 a.m. and will fill the USA Track & Field certified 3.1 mile course, with runners, joggers, power walkers and strolling families from the community.

The event is organized by the RCCG Agape House of Worship to support community outreach programs to benefit the residents of Roselle. The programs include iRead, (a summer reading programs for the Charles C. Polk Elementary School children), the Back to School backpack and school supply distribution for elementary through high school students, and the Thanksgiving turkey and dinner supply distribution to residents in need. Last year Agape supplied 150 families in town.

Roselle Council President Denise Wilkerson will be one of the many runners and walkers participating in the event and has set a goal of her own to raise $1,000.

Wilkerson took to social media this past weekend looking for supporters to help her reach that goal. Her video is below.

Community support is needed to help this organization reach its goal of $15,000, so they can reach out to even more children and families in the Roselle Community.
