ROSELLE, NJ - Students at the Washington Elementary School got a chance to visit with many professionals in the community including the Mayor, a Judge, Police Officers, and many others as part of the Roselle  School Districts “Career Day” event.

Firefighters from the Roselle Fire Dept. brought their firetruck and took the students outside to try a hand at working a fire hose.

Students with questions in hand, turned the interview process around as they interviewed the TAPinto Roselle Reporter, Me!

What made you decide on this career? What kinds of equipment do you use? Can a woman do this job? What do you like best about the job?  Why? Is there anything you DON’T like?  Why?

Yes, the questions came fast and furious as two classes of fourth grade students wanted to know all.

For this reporter, it was a real treat to be with the students. I showed them a quick video clip from “Tribeca Kids” covering the Tribeca Film Festival that showed students as reporters at the event. It showed that even as students, it’s never to early to start to formulate your career aspirations.
