Just Jersey Food Truck and Festival

On Saturday, October 8th, a food truck festival is being held at Rockaway Boro Firemans Field as a benefit to support the borough's fire department. From 11 am to 7 pm, there will be 20 gourmet food trucks on the grounds along with musical acts that include the Atlanta Cafe Band and Stereo Junkies Band. Bring your own chair and an appetite to the event since specialties such as pad Thai, caramel Belgian waffles, and gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches will be on hand.

Apple n’ Pumpkin Harvest Festival

Apples and pumpkins are a given when looking for ways to celebrate the fall season. And what better place to celebrate these delectable fruits than by visiting the annual festival at the Clinton Farmers’ Market? The street festival is free to all and will include vendors lining the street of Downtown Clinton. Highlights include a petting zoo, specialty food items, and a beer garden. The event will be one day only on October 9th.

Great Pumpkin Festival in Vernon

One of fall’s favorite pastimes is attending harvest festivals that celebrate the season. The Great Pumpkin Festival held each autumn weekend at Heaven Hill Farm has pumpkins, hayrides, and so much more. Each day there is a full lineup of events including pig races, gem mining, pony rides, hay crawls, monster sling shots, and post pounding.

Most activities are covered under one low admission fee, but carnival rides are separate pricing. For refreshments, guests are invited to try the offerings found in the Farm Store.

Bergen County 4-H and Master Gardener Fair

Bergen County’s top-rated agricultural event will take place October 8th and 9th at Van Saun County Park. Throughout the day, children and adults will be able to interact with animals and participate in hands-on educational activities. There will be musical entertainment and a large number of food vendors available.
