ROSELLE PARK, NJ - A person witnessing an attack, notified Roselle Park Police of the assault taking place on Friday, Jan. 20, at approximately 1:04 p.m., in the area of W. Clay Ave. and W. Grant Ave. Police said, the witness stated a man walking in the area was being physically assaulted by another man, and the attacker was forcibly removing the mans wallet. 

When police arrived, Ptl. Richard Gaylord reported that he separated the two individuals involved and arrested the attacker who was identified as Jahlil Y. Zamora, age 30 from Elizabeth. 

Police said, Zamora was later charged with 2nd. degree robbery and 3rd degree theft and was lodged into the Union County Jail with no bail awaiting his first appearance. 

The 39 year old male victim was treated on scene for his injuries that he sustained during the incident. The wallet was also recovered at the scene. The witnesses name was not released.
