Join the Roselle Free Public Library for its National Library Week virtual events featuring local authors on Wednesday, April 7 and Thursday, April 8 at 5 p.m.
The April 7 event will feature authors Naima Ricks and Cecilia Dallis Ricks and their children’s book “The Empowerment ABCs,” which was put together at the beginning of the pandemic as a way to uplift young readers.
International award-winning author Renaee Smith will be reading her children’s book, “Freddie Goes to the Beach,” at the April 8 event. Both events are hosted via Zoom and will feature a discussion after the author does her reading.
“The Roselle Library is so happy to support our own Roselle authors during National Library Week,” said Library Director Jeanne Marie Ryan. “By helping to connect local authors with residents, we are working together to best serve our community.”
The theme for National Library Week, “Welcome to Your Library,” promotes the idea that libraries extend far beyond the four walls of a building — and that everyone is welcome to use the services.
