ROSELLE PARK, NJ - As the school year winds down and the weather gets warmer, more Roselle Park residents will be looking for ways to safely spend time outdoors.
So far only passive parks are open to individuals who wear masks and abide by social distancing guidelines. This means that playgrounds will remain closed for the foreseeable future.
The majority of the borough’s usual summer activities have been canceled this year including Fireworks on Independence Day, the 2020 Jazz Festival and National Night Out.
One of the only events still scheduled to take place will be the 2020 Outdoor Summer Movie Series, set to begin in July.
Borough officials were not immediately available to comment on the plan to safely execute the movie series or what films will be screened.
