CLARK, NJ – Comic Book, Harry Potter and Superhero fans might want to plan to spend their day at the Clark Library on Saturday, May 5 for the first annual Random Fandom Con.   The fun starts promptly at 10:30 a.m. with The Harry Potter & the Goblets of Fire radio show presented by Reconteur Radio.  This presentation is recommended for ages 8 and older and does not require registration. 

Stay for the Pokémon Party with Michele Knotz, a Pokémon voice actor who will present her Pokémon Party Panel at noon.  Join all-around Pokémon expert Chris Smith for games, fun, contests, prizes, battles and sing-a-longs.  Attendees can trade with other Pokéfans, learn about breeding and battling, and play some awesome fun games for prizes.  

“Pokémon fans, and we know who you are, won’t want to miss this panel,” said Megan Kociole, Clark’s Library Director.  “Don’t forget to bring your Nintendo 3DS for special prizes.  Yes, finally, a place where bringing your 3DS is required.”

In addition to all of these events, participants can see a real DeLorean sports car at 1:15 p.m or participate in a candy sushi workshop at 2:00 p.m.  After all, what’s a party without candy?

A trivia contest is set for 3:00 p.m. followed by a costume contest at 3:40 p.m.  The contest is open to all ages and can include handmade or commercially purchased.   Those interested may register for the costume contest here.

According to library staff, there will be activities to see, do and participate in throughout the day at Random Fandom Con.
