ROSELLE, NJ - It was the sights and sounds of the holidays in Roselle on Monday night as the community came out for Roselle’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Winter Wonderland.
Mayor Dansereau, Borough Council, Fire Dept., Roselle PBA along with Donald Shaw and his Department of Recreation staff who put together a great program to welcome in the holiday season that included live entrainment and of course the arrival of Santa.
As residents arrived they were greeted with a surprise this year of a new and bigger Christmas tree in front of Borough Hall.
Hot chocolate from Rita’s Water Ice was provided to keep everyone warm while entertainment from the Roselle Girl Scout Troops 40323 and 40587, along with Amanda Naggy and the Roselle District Elementary Choir and “DJ Lil Man” who fished out the entertainment.
Kids could pose with Olaf from the Disney movie Frozen and some other charters roaming about and other activities included a bounce house, train rides, and ice skating rink.
No Winter Wonderland is complete until the arrival of Santa, and with the help of the Roselle Fire Department, Santa did arrive and all of the children had a chance to sit on Santa's lap and pose for photos.
Video highlights of the event can be viewed below.
