ROSELLE, NJ - Mayor Reginald Atkins recently sat down with Pam Jones the Director of Roselle First to discuss the high unemployment rate in Roselle due to the pandemic.

The new video series, called the PIO (public information office) Spotlight, was created to bring more information directly from the Mayor to the people of Roselle.

Jones talked about the job finding program they are continuing to run remotely. Roselle First helps residents navigate through all steps of the hiring process, including resume writing and job interview prep, and zoom training.

According to Jones, a lot of companies right now are hiring for essential jobs and/or temporary work.

Roselle First also helps senior citizens looking for work who are not as technologically savvy.

The Roselle First program was started by former Roselle Mayor Jamel Holley.
