ROSELLE, NJ - The Roselle Board of Education recognized eight exemplary students in their respective schools as part of the district's monthly Student of the Month awards.

"Honoring our students of the month is among the most important things we can do as a district," said Superintendent Dr. Richard Corbett. "It not only recognizes our students' ability to work hard but also the work of their families and teachers who are so integral to their success."

January awardees were: Camila Marulanda, Roselle Preschool Annex; Martina Hollins, Kindergarten Success Academy; Franlis Mota, Harrison Elementary School; Jenali Lyles, Dr. Charles C. Polk Elementary School;  Dante Velez, Washington Elementary School; Destin Darko, Leonard V. Moore Middle School; Ricardo Roncallo, Grace Wilday Junior High School; Amazen Barnette, Abraham Clark High School.
