ROSELLE/ROSELLE PARK, NJ -  It’s election season again and Monday, April 2, was the last day for candidates to file to have their names added to the ballot for the upcoming elections.

Roselle Park - The big election will be in November as the Roselle Park Republican Committee announced William Fahoury as their mayoral candidate, along with Richard Graves for second ward council and incumbent Councilman Thos Shipley for the fifth ward council seat. 

The Roselle Park Democratic Committee had already announced last month their candidates, Joseph Signorello for mayor, Robert Mathieu for fifth ward council and incumbent Councilman Joseph Petrosky for second ward councilman.

Current Mayor Carl Hokanson announced in March that he will be running in the election as an Independent candidate after his split from the Democratic party.

Roselle - The primary will decide who will be the Democratic candidate in November. Candidates running in the Primary election are as follows.

Brandon Bernier will be running against incumbent Carla Walker for second ward council, and John Fortuna will go up against incumbent Samuel Bishop for the Borough’s fifth ward council seat.
