ROSELLE, NJ - The students and staff of Grace Wilday Junior High School wanting to spread some holiday cheer decided to look to those serving our country and would not be home for the holidays.
The students went to work and created and sent out more than 300-holiday cards to service members.
While the students were participating in the school’s Social and Emotional Learning clubs, they took the time to write messages of holiday cheer to the troops both currently serving and retired.
“The messages were created by the students and were extremely heartfelt,” said Principal Tomeeka Hunt. “I’m so proud of our students for thinking about those who sacrifice for our country over this holiday season.”
