ROSELLE, NJ — Mayor Atkins addressed Roselle residents in a video update on how the borough is recovering after tropical storm Isaias.
Over 1700 PSEG customers in Roselle are currently without power according to their outage map, 18.25% of the borough. Mayor Atkins told residents that he too is without power and is working hard to get the lights back on for all of Roselle.
“I have been on the phone with PSEG as well as the Governor’s office to provide us with additional support,” said Mayor Atkins. “And apply the pressure that’s needed so that Roselle is categorized as urgent.”
Roselle’s Department of Public Works is also continuing to clean up fallen trees and branches around the borough. To report a fallen tree email DPW@boroughofrolselle.com. Outages and down power lines can be reported by logging in to your account on th PSEG website or by texting “OUT” to 4PSEG or 47734.
“The expected restoration date that I have been given has been slipping. At one point, we thought it would be today, but now they are giving us the global restoration date of the 10th,” said Mayor Atkins.
