ROSELLE PARK, NJ - Residents and dignitaries came out to Kelly-Kaulfers Memorial Park on Monday evening for the 9/11 Remembrance Service. The ceremony honored and remember the victims and heroes of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Also honored at the service were those serving in the military, both abroad and here at home. Mayor Hokanson and Council members were in attendance along with Senator Thomas Kean Jr. who spoke to community. Master of Ceremonies, Mariann Brenner, a retired Port Authority Officer sung the National Anthem and Councilman Thos Shipley urged everyone to join him in singing God Bless America.
Invocation was given by James R. Spera from the Church of Assumption and the prayer was given by Rev. Manuel P. Cruz, Jr. form the Community Methodist Church. Those being remembered were Thomas J. Fisher, Robert A. Hepburn, Robert M. Kaulfers and John G. Ueltzhoeffer.
The Roselle Park High School Band played TAPS and Pat Hinds played the bagpipes to end out the event. The event in its entirety can be viewed below.
