Each was presented with a certificate of recognition. 

The Business of the month was presented to Planet Dance located at 111 Chestnut St. Planet Dance is a family-owned business that provides instructional dance classes for ages 2 and up and offers a variety of dance styles. Directors Erica Campione-Oliveira and Gina Campione-Robel thanked the Mayor and Council for their recognition. A presentation was given by Assemblyman Jon Bramnick and Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz with an Update from the State.  Video below. 

In other business, two ordinances 2580 the position of Market Manager, and 2582 the position of the Clean Communities Manager were voted on to amend the two part-time positions to become two-year terms. People holding these posts could be signed again after that contract expires. The Mayor recused himself from 2580 and the vote was a tie so it died. On 2582 the Mayor broke the tie and it passed. 

A voted was approved to request New Jersey Transit to eliminate Bus Stop no. 29513 on East Westfield Ave. near the westerly corner of Walnut street.  

Council discussed in length redevelopment plan for the area/property Block 506, Lots 2,3,4 that is located by the high school and the possibility of an apartment complex to be built in that area. The redevelopment plan was approved and now goes to the Municipal Land Use Board (MLUB), for their review and recommendations. and is the official electronic news source for your town!
