ROSELLE PARK, NJ - The Borough’s first paper shredding events; of the year is just days away, is on May 11.

Last year was the Borough’s first year offering paper shredding events to residents. Town officials said last the program was very successful, generating nearly 8 tons of recycled material.

According to Officials, the events proved to be a good added service for residents and a great way to supplement the Borough’s ongoing efforts to promote recycling. All tonnage reported will be factored into the Borough’s next Recycling Tonnage Grant application. With this grant, the more tonnage recycled, the more grant funds to be received. Likewise, grant funds are what pay for the program to take place; a true win-win!
