ROSELLE, NJ — Roselle Mayor Denise Wilkerson administered the oath to promote two Roselle police officers Wednesday. The small promotion ceremony was administered in Roselle Council Chambers with all in attendance practicing social distancing and wearing masks.

“This is an exciting day for us here in Roselle,” said Wilkerson. “We get to bear witness to two of our best and brightest in our force.”

Lieutenant Victor D. Conti was sworn in first, to his new position. His family held the bible he was sworn in on. Sergeant Na’Zeek A. Hurling had his parents hold the bible as he was sworn in by Mayor Wilkerson. After each man took his oath Police Chief Brian Barnes saluted each man and pinned him with his new badge.

“To the new sergeant and new lieutenant, I look forward to you guys striving and becoming better at what you do,” said Chief Barnes.
