TRENTON, NJ — Some New Jersey lawmakers want a “Ban the Box” law for students applying to college. 

New Jersey's “Ban the Box” law took effect in 2015. It prohibits employers with 15 or more employees from requiring that a job applicant to complete any form during the initial application process that asks about their criminal record.
