JEFFERSON, NJ – The family of Jefferson resident Michael Adams, who died last month, after being found injured on Route 15 at 4 a.m., is offering a $20,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest of his killer.

The reward was mentioned Thursday by Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp and Jefferson Police Chief William Craig in a plea for assistance in solving the case. . Authorities believe Adams, 24, was struck Sept. 19 by a vehicle that left the scene. Adams was found lying on Route 15 near Edison Road, they said.

Knapp and Craig said they believe Adams was struck between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. He was taken to St. Clare's Hospital in Dover, where he was later pronounced dead.
