ROXBURY, NJ - Landing resident Maria Cattano, an independent sales director with Mary Kay, is collecting donations to buy sun-care products needed by members of the U.S. Military.

The effort, being done through Supplies for Soldiers, is being coordinated by Cattano's national sales director, Tina Hulsman, also an area resident.

"When people buy Mary Kay sun care products, packages will be put together and delivered to Supplies for Soldiers," said Cattano. "The organization then will send the supplies where they are needed most by the military."

The current focus is a platoon of more than 300 U.S. Army Reserve soldiers from New Jersey who are dealing with extreme sun exposure and sun poisoning, according to Cattano.

Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants, like Cattano, who are participating in the effort are matching each donation, meaning each donation will go twice as far.
