ROXBURY, NJ - A autism awareness T-shirt designed by a Roxbury fourth-grader is going on sale next week.
The shirt, created by Kennedy Elementary School pupil Leah Stavitsky, was the winner in the Roxbury School District's 5th Annual Autism Awareness T-Shirt Contest.
Roxbury schools art teacher Jane-Frances Speronza and Patricia Klein, a special education teacher at Jefferson Elementary, ran the contest. Students from throughout the school district created shirts the theme "Shine On."
Order forms to buy the shirt will be made available next week, according to the school district.
