ROXBURY, NJ - Having lost its three prior contests, the Roxbury High School Ice hockey team returned to winning on Sunday, defeating West Morris 8-1 at Aspen Ice.

The Gaels had a great team effort, led by Nick Hefferle, who contributed three goals and an assist.

Joe Carey added a goal and two assists. Kyle Jenkins, Brian Westergaard and Nick Thomas also added one goal and one assist each.

Kevin Keane added two more assists and Steven Keane finished the scoring with his first goal of the season.

Ryan Callahan was great in goal, stopping 16 of 17 shots.

The win moves Roxbury to 8-6-1 on the season. The Gaels face Vernon on Jan. 23 at 4:15 pm at Mennen Arena.
