ROXBURY, NJ - Roxbury and Mount Arlington residents are being asked to be on the lookout for a dog that went missing Sunday from his home on municipalities' border.

The dog, named Carter, ran away from his home on Bensel Drive in Mount Arlington at about 8 p.m., said Roxbury Animal Control Officer Sue Blanchard. She said the dog's family "has only been in their house a couple of months."

Blanchard said Carter is a male, brindle colored Pit Bull mix. He is wearing a green collar with a rabies tag on it, and he is micro-chipped, she said.

"Carter is friendly but skittish," Blanchard added. "Please do not chase him. Call my office, Roxbury Animal Control, at 973-584-4372 with any sightings."
