ROXBURY, NJ – Police today responded to an assault, possibly involving a knife, at a Route 46 truck stop.

The incident took place at the Pilot Flying J at 1470 Route 46 East around mid-day. Workers at the business yesterday said they believed an altercation took place between two men.

“One of them stabbed the other one,” said one employee, who declined to give his name. “Then somebody called in the police.”

Roxbury Police Sgt. Kenneth Rocco would only describe the incident as an assault and, noting that detectives were still investigating the matter last night, said he had no details. Rocco said a man was sent to a hospital for treatment.
