Mount Arlington, NJ – Craig Heard, a candidate for US Congress in the 7th District of New Jersey, co-sponsored the Eleventh Hour Rescue’s Pierogi Dinner at the Lake Hopatcong Elks Lodge in Mount Arlington. This event raised funds to further serve Eleventh Hour’s purpose of saving death-row animals from kill shelters and setting them up in loving homes.

Over 345 people attended the sold-out event where Heard helped serve meals through all three seating’s. Heard said he was happy to be able to see so many animal-lovers like himself enjoying the dinner. Heard has long been a pet-lover, most recently with his late Dalmatian, Rusty. He is proud to be able to contribute to such a great cause helping death-row cats and dogs find caring homes and families.

When asked to say a few words at the podium, Heard took the opportunity to recount his family’s adoration of animals for many years, and the incredible mission of the Eleventh Hour Rescue shelter.

Heard said, “Every dog and cat deserves a loving home, and it’s great to see an organization like this stepping up to the challenge of making that happen. When I’m elected Congressman in the 7th District, I will help stop those puppy mills, fight against animal cruelty and work with the FDA to make sure our farms are treating animal humanely.”

Craig Heard, a life-long New Jersey and long-time Succasunna resident is President and CEO of Gateway Outdoor Advertising.
