ROXBURY, NJ - Workers managed to finish refurbishing the recently relocated Roxbury Public Library gazebo on Sept. 8, just in time for Saturday's Olde Suckasunny Day festivities, where the structure served as a beloved centerpiece.
The historic gazebo will be rededicated at 2 p.m. tomorrow (Sunday, Sept. 10) with a ceremony that will include comments by Roxbury Mayor Mark Crowley and Deputy Mayor Bob DeFillippo.
Performing will be the North Jersey Wind Collective conducted by former Roxbury graduate Evan Wasek and Huy Ho. The Collective is composed of nearly 30 college graduate musicians.
It's also the last day of the Friends of the Roxbury Public Library Annual Book Sale.
By most accounts, Suckasunny Day was a success. Under clear, breezy skies, hundreds of people strolled Main Street to visit vendors, non-profit organization booths, township department displays and to watch performances including some songs by the Roxbury High School band:
