RANDOLPH, N.J. – East Stroudsburg University (ESU) of Pennsylvania and County College of Morris (CCM) recently signed three articulation agreements in biology, business management and criminal justice. The agreements will facilitate the transfer of college credits earned at CCM in a seamless way that will allow students to transfer their credits toward the respective bachelor’s degree program at ESU.
“We are delighted to expand upon our transfer agreements with ESU to now include three additional degree programs,” noted Anthony Iacono, president of CCM. “These new agreements offer CCM students a range of affordable options for earning both their associate and bachelor’s degrees, as they also are allowed to take advantage of a quality education at two top institutions.”
Details about the transfer programs at ESU are as follows:
Biology: The Department of Biological Sciences at ESU offers undergraduate degrees under a number of different rubrics. The bachelor of arts and bachelor of science degrees in biology offer a broad foundation based on a core curriculum. With this education, an individual has a wide range of career opportunities or may proceed on to graduate school. Individuals may change careers later in life with minimal retraining required.
Business Management: ESU has offered the bachelor of science degree in business management since 1986. The department maintains full-time academically-qualified faculty and part-time professionally-qualified faculty to teach in the program. There are more than 600 business management majors in the department. The department graduates almost 200 students per year, who go on to successful professional careers in business.
Criminal Justice: Criminal justice is the fourth largest major at ESU, and is growing to meet the needs of the state and region.
"This agreement highlights cooperation between the colleges that is focused on making it easier for students to meet their educational objectives for careers in criminal justice,” said Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Peter Hawkes, Ph.D.
