ROXBURY, NJ - It’s been quite a start to the Spring 2018 season for the MSC Roxbury Elite Ruckus girls soccer team.

The weather might have been cold, but they’ve started out red hot.  After opening the season on April 15 with a 1-1 tie in Hopatcong on a windy Sunday morning, they’ve reeled off two straight impressive wins against tough competition.

The girls played their first ever county-wide League Cup game against Lenape Valley and scored a 5-1 victory. The League Cup is held for different age groups in the fall and spring seasons through the Morris County Youth Soccer Association.

Next up in the Cup competition will be a tough game against Montville’s top flighted team

Two days later, they followed up that dominating win with a 4-1 victory over league rival West Milford and now stand alone atop the standings. It was a team effort with a solid defense, dynamic offense and great goalkeeping.

They look to extend their early season success with a rematch against Lenape Valley in an away league matchup this weekend.
