ROXBURY, NJ - A 71-year-old man who was crossing Route 10 in Succasunna on Thursday evening was struck by a vehicle that left the scene, said Roxbury police.

The incident took place at about 6:30 p.m., said police. They said the man was using the crosswalk to traverse Route 10 West near South Street when he was hit.

The man suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital, police said.

"The vehicle fled prior to our arrival and it is believed the vehicle may have been a pickup truck," police said. They asked for assistance from anybody who saw the incident or otherwise has information, urging them to call 973-448-2100 or send a message via Facebook.
