ROXBURY, NJ – The Roxbury High School baseball team crushed Parsippany-Troy Hills on May 15 in a 20-3 victory that included two 3-run home runs for Andy Axelson.

The score was already 11-0 before the second inning began and Roxbury added three more runs in the second inning. Parsippany didn’t answer until the fourth inning when it scored all three of its runs, but its pitching managed to completely stymie Gaels batters from the third inning to the game’s end.

Roxbury pitcher Darren Wyse had a great 5-inning outing, rendering Parsippany scoreless for those first three innings and throwing three strikeouts.

In addition to the offensive attack of two, 3-run homers, Axelson also chalked up an RBI double. The entire team hit the ball hard with six players picking up two hits apiece.
