ROXBURY, NJ - The Roxbury High School boys basketball team on Saturday advanced in the Morris County Tournament by defeating Morris Hills.’

Led by senior Brian Nichols, who racked-up 18 points, the Gaels - seeded sixth - beat the Scarlet Knights, seeded eleventh - by a score of 51-43.

Roxbury junior Kyle Haegele helped secure the victory by scoring 16 points.

The win means the team advances to the tournament’s quarterfinals. Roxbury will take on No. 3 seed Jefferson at Randolph High School.

The Gaels’ record is now 13-4. Their next game is Tuesday against Montville.
