ROXBURY, NJ – Tuesday was a happy day for the Roxbury High School boys lacrosse team as it not only trounced Mount Olive but also celebrated player Dave Biank’s 100th goal.
The Gaels rolled over the Marauders 15-4 in a game that saw Roxbury dominate in all four periods. By half-time, the score was 8-1 in the Gaels’ favor and the team kept going, pounding out three more in the third and another four in the final frame.
Biank’s 100th career goal came on a day when he went 4-1. But he was hardly alone in having good fortune finding the back of Mount Olive’s net. Eric D’Arminio scored three, Matt Dancsecs scored two and had four assists, Ben Palanchi made two as did Zach Poissant.
Other scorers were Paul Shadel, Anthony Perhacks and Ryan Fehsal.
Roxbury is now 6-1. It plays again Thursday against Montville.
